Ole Miss sits at the top of the team transfer portal rankings, landing six players in the last three days. Lane Kiffin and his staff are honing in on several more, with two wide receivers having recent visits.
Per 247Sports, the Rebels already secured two of the top 10 players in the portal and could add more this week. The skill-players below have been linked to a transfer to Oxford. Could any of them be wearing the Ole Miss uniform next season?
Wide Receivers
Dane Key, Kentucky
Kentucky transfer wide receiver Dane Key took his official visit to Ole Miss on December 15. The Rebels are hopeful they can recruit the former four-star recruit from the 2022 class.
Key is a top-10 ranked player in the transfer portal, with Georgia and Nebraska being the other highly interested schools. The former Wildcats player spent three seasons with the program, committing as the No.1 player out of Kentucky. He made 126 receptions for 1,870 receiving yards and 14 touchdowns during his time.
Ole Miss looked to be targeting his teammate, Barion Brown, who had transferred to LSU. However, Key was the more successful wide receiver in Lexington, and his physical traits are what Lane Kiffin needs to play on the outside with Tre Harris heading to the NFL.
Everything looks to be trending well for Ole Miss, and if his visit goes well, he could be a Rebel player sometime this week.
Eric Singleton Jr., Georgia Tech
The No.1 player in the transfer portal, Georgia Tech wide receiver Eric Singleton Jr., is a man in demand, and it's understandable. The former three-star recruit spent the last two seasons with the Yellow Jackets, with 104 receptions for 1,468 receiving yards and nine touchdowns. He also has 140 rushing yards and one touchdown.
Singleton finished his visit to Ole Miss on December 15, arriving 24 hours earlier. The Rebels are in a great position, but so are several other programs. Auburn, LSU, Miami, and Texas were named alongside Ole Miss as his final five programs. Georgia was said to be in the mix early, but Singleton quickly dismissed those rumors.
The Georgia native stands at 5-foot-11 and 190 pounds, so a smaller receiver. The Rebels have Cayden Lee out of the slot, but Singleton's physique is similar to the soon departed Jordan Watkins, and also has a similarities to his play.
Singleton would be a game changer for the Ole Miss offense, and there is talk that it's between the Rebels and their ex-head coach, Hugh Freeze, at Auburn.
