The college baseball season is just seven days old, with nearly every team still believing they can make a run to the National Championship game.
Ole Miss started strong, with a 3-1 record, which included two ranked wins over Arizona and Clemson, but got dismantled by ranked Texas.
Tennessee is the current National Champions, becoming only the second team to win it as the No.1 overall seed. Ole Miss won the 2022 World Series, their first championship.
Fifteen teams have won multiple College Baseball National Championships, with USC leading the way with 12. However, the last time they won was in 1998. The Trojans five-peated from 1970 to 1974, winning it in 1978, dominating the 70s. They are the only team to win it more than two times in consecutive seasons.
LSU (1996,1997), Texas (1949,1950), Oregon State (2006,2007), South Carolina (2010,2011), and Stanford (1987,1988) have all won back-to-back championships.
Pac-12 has the most conference wins, with 18, and the Southeastern Conference is just behind with 16. Both are clear of the third most, which is the Western Athletic Conference.

Florida State has the most final losses without winning a championship, losing three times. Texas has the most final losses, the same number as they have won it, six. Arizona State and Oklahoma State have the second most, losing five finals, followed by Arizona and South Carolina with four.
