As some called it, "Lane Kiffin watch," if officially over as the Ole Miss head coach made his decision to pack his bags and head to Baton Rouge to become the head coach at LSU. After announcing he would make his decision the Saturday after the Egg Bowl, Kiffin took an extra 24 hours to officially announce his leaving, and it has certainly come with a lot of drama.
Kiffin wanted to go be the head coach at LSU, but still finish the season with Ole Miss for what is still possibly going to be a College Football Playoff run for the Rebels. However, the administration at Ole Miss didn't want Kiffin around if he was taking another job, which meant that if he was leaving, he had to leave immediately.
This caused even more chaos in Oxford as now Kiffin has brought a good portion of his staff with him, leaving Ole Miss without many coaches heading into what could still be a CFP appearance. Under new, now full-time, head coach Pete Golding, the Rebels will leave the Kiffin era behind for good.
Many have their opinions on the situation, ranging from Kiffin being the villain in all of this to feeling like Ole Miss should have just let him finish the season because it would have been best for the players. Some former players, though, are now speaking their minds on how they truly felt about their former head coach.

Kiffin has certainly had quite the coaching career with many twists and turns, and while some feel he is a great coach, others haven't really felt the same. Apparently, some of his former players felt the latter, and now, with Kiffin out the door, they are speaking their minds a bit.
Both Quentin Bivens and Tariqious Tisdale played at Ole Miss when Kiffin was the head coach. Bivens ended up transferring after the 2021 season, and Tisdale went to the NFL after that season as well. After the drama unfolded with Kiffin, both players took to social media, first being Tisdale and then Bivens echoed what his former teammate said.
"Don't get me started on Lane, he's been a snake since I met him," Tisdale wrote on social media. "I got teammates that can vouch, especially if you was there in 2020-2021 and played defense."
Bivens shared what Tisdale wrote with the caption 'Don't get me started," and it is clear both players were unhappy with the way Kiffin chose to coach and are happy that the world is finally seeing his true colors.
