Vanderbilt Commodores

They are like a sweat bee in the Mississippi heat. The Vanderbilt Commodores have a way of being a nuisance and then every now and then, they will sting you. Last year we got stung. The Rebels were humbled with a 38-17 loss in Nashville. Vanderbilt was able to make their way to a bowl game where they themselves were humbled.

This year Vandy is hoping to see improvement on the field. However, they will need every available win on the schedule. After going 2-0, the Commodores to come to a murder’s row of games including the Rebels. They could legitimately go 0-5. In a row they will face Kansas State, Alabama, Florida, Georgia and then the Rebels. After a bye game they could see another loss against South Carolina.

Vanderbilt always plays Tennessee tough. The Kentucky game is a pick ’em. However, they will need to win those two games plus beat the Rebels to get into a bowl game. So, it looks like the ‘Dores can drop anchor at home during bowl season.
