The Line Is The Difference

If you really want to control Bama then it begins up front. Bama has the best offensive line in the conference, if not the country. This is a formidable front five when they are on offense. Give Bama the advantage of knowing which back will run inside and they are deadly. The defense has the task of trying to stop it.

The key for Ole Miss is dominating the line of scrimmage and controlling the tempo of the game. If Ole Miss can go fast then they have Bama at a disadvantage. Bama is the number one team in the nation for a reason. If they have an out you can believe Saban will take it. Hurt their line on both sides of the ball and you dominate the flow of the game. Quick turnarounds on the Tide defense is the key. Never give them time to rest.

Tempo is the answer for all that Saban brings and the offensive and defensive lines are the paramount in a Ole Miss victory. Control the front on both sides of the ball and you control the game plain and simple. The Tide doesn’t have many flaws, however their greatest flaw lies in plain sight. It’s up front. If the Tide can be beaten t it will be on the line and especially on the defensive line.

Last season the Tide was dominant on defense and it showed in the number of sacks. 28 and a half sacks is a hard number to beat. For Bama it’s been a hard number to even come close to finding so far this season.
