Ole Miss Football: The Latest On The 2019 Ole Miss Recruiting Class

With the coming of the 2018 Ole Miss football season just around the corner 2019 recruiting is beginning to heat up for Matt Luke and the Rebels.

The 2018 Ole Miss football season is now less than 10 weeks away and the excitement around the Rebels program is building. There is also excitement building around the 2019 recruiting class as football season draws closer. As of now the Rebels stand ranked with the No.15 class in the nation and the class is expected to get much better.

This past week the Rebels picked up six new commitments from some very talented players in key positions. Coaches Matt Luke and Jack Bicknell both added three offensive line commitments while Crimedawg and coach Jon Sumrall added two outside linebackers and a corner-back. Of course, these are  positions which are vital to the success of Ole Miss football going forward.

All six of these players are very good and will surely have great 2018 campaigns. When you consider these players have an entire season yet to play we can expect some of these players overall grades to change. Of course, this means Ole Miss football’s ranking could easily go up.

The three offensive line commitments the Rebels picked up are all very big front men for their high school teams. Ole Miss football and coach Jack Bicknell received commitments from Carter Colquitt and Reece McIntyre both of Buford, Georgia and Caleb Warren of Louisville, Mississippi. Colquit is listed at  6’5 and 300 lbs and McIntyre is listed at 6’5 and 295 lbs while Warren is listed at 6’4 and 305 lbs. All three players are listed as offensive tackles.

Coach Matt Luke and the Rebels also picked up three huge defensive commitments with the addition of corner-back Deantre Prince of Charleston, Mississippi and outside linebackers Jay Stanley of Brandon and JUCO Sam Williams of Northeast Community College. As of now the 2019 Ole Miss football recruiting class stands at 19 commitments with that number expected to rise.

Expected To Finish Strong

So far coach Matt Luke and his staff have established themselves as great recruiters. Of course, we can expect coach Luke to finish out the 2019 class in strong fashion as they head into the 2018 Ole Miss football season.
