With the 2018 Ole Miss football season just under 2 months away there has been a lot of excitement when it comes to the Rebels.

As the days get hotter this summer there is excitement building among Ole Miss football fans. Of course, most of us have September 1st circled on the calendar and are ready for it to finally get here. The Rebels begin the 2018 season that Saturday when they travel to Houston, Texas to take on the Red Raiders of Texas Tech.

Besides wanting the season to finally get here there has been a lot going on behind the scenes with the Ole Miss football program. The month of June was a busy one for coach Matt Luke and his staff. The 2019 Ole Miss football recruiting class received 11 new commitments in June alone. We have seen Matt Luke going after some top players in critical positions for the Rebels.

Pretty Good So Far

It appears that where the Rebels went after defensive players with the 2018 class the goal is shoring up the offensive depth in 2019. Personally, I believe Luke and his staff have done an excellent job with this class and we should expect it to get even better once the Rebels kickoff this season.

Of course, there are still some critics who believe Luke could do a better job. However, considering everything the program has been thru in recent years most Ole Miss fans applaud his efforts. So far Luke has proven he can sell the program and get top targets to come to Oxford.

Coach Matt Luke and his staff have done an incredible job with recruiting so far and the 2019 NSD is still months away. We can expect the 2018 season will be key in closing out with a really strong class. So far so good.

Congrats Are In Order

This is an exciting time for the Ole Miss football program. Coach Matt Luke and his staff will be taking the field this season entering a new era in Rebels football. OHT wants to congratulate coach Luke on the excellent job he has done off the field. Of course, here at OHT we expect the job on the field this season to be just as successful. Hotty Toddy!
