Rebels Need To Use Weapons

After looking at the depth charts of each both teams it is clear the Rebels have the star factor. The Rebels are loaded with weapons on the offensive side of the ball and even though the Red Raiders return an experienced defense the Rebels should be able to exploit the obvious mismatches in the secondary. All-American wide-receiver AJ Brown will create a huge distraction for the Red Raiders defense when he is on the field.

Texas Tech may try a variety of coverages against the Rebels but you can be sure AJ Brown won’t see much single coverage. This will free up some other receiving  weapons for Ta’amu. Rebels fans can expect to see DaMarkus Lodge and DK Metcalf to get a lot of looks from Ta’amu. Of course, Luke and Longo want to establish the run game and should the Rebels find success there will be more options available in the passing game. If Ta’amu has time in the pocket to make his reads there will be receivers open. Using the Rebels offensive weapons will help secure a win against the Red Raiders.
