The past weekend may have not been very kind to Ole Miss football but there were quite a few SEC teams which saw rough games.

Saturday was a rough night for Ole Miss football as the Rebels lost to the No.1 ranked Alabama Crimson Tide in an ugly 62-7 blowout. The SEC opening loss sets the Rebels record at 2-1 overall and 0-1 in SEC play of course. The Rebels were dominated by Saban and the Tide for most of the game and the Rebels do little against Bama on either side of the ball. Despite a strong start the Rebels loss raises questions and concerns. However, the Rebels aren’t alone.

So OHT has been power ranking the SEC teams each week and naturally with the SEC matchups heating up in both divisions there are teams making waves. This past weekend was an exciting one for both SEC and non-conference games. Besides the Ole Miss and Bama game the SEC West saw a huge game between (12) LSU at (7) Auburn with the Bayou Bengals picking up the 22-21 road win on a last second field goal. Vandy played well against (8) Notre Dame but fell in 22-17 thriller. Missouri took on Purdue on the road and won 40-37.

While most SEC teams saw easier opponents one SEC West team saw its second non-conference game of the season. The Arkansas Razorbacks were stunned in a 44-17 upset by North Texas. While the losses aren’t easy there are teams who are still trying to find their own identity on one or both sides of the ball. So far three games into the season and know this is going to continue to be a great season for SEC football fans. We are here to do some power rankings for post week-three so let’s get started with the SEC East from worst to first.
