No.4 Texas A&M Aggies (2-2, 0-1)

The then No.22 Texas A&M Aggies got to travel to Tuscaloosa for their first SEC game against No.1 Alabama. The Aggies trip wasn’t a pleasant one and fell 45-23 to the Tide. TAMU earned respect with their game against Clemson and with the exception of the Bama loss have been very impressive. The Aggies have an explosive offense which is very capable of putting up big numbers and a relatively decent defense which was simply outmatched by the Tide. This Saturday Texas A&M will be hosting Arkansas (1-3, 0-1).

No.3 (10) Auburn Tigers (3-1, 0-1)

The then No.9 Auburn Tigers played host to the Arkansas Razorbacks (1-3, 0-1). The Tigers bounced back from their week-3 loss and picked up the 34-3 blowout over the Hogs and their first SEC win of the season. Of course, the Tigers defense is very good but Gus Malzahn has noted the offensive issues which need improvements. The Auburn Tigers are expected to still have an incredible season and will host Southern Miss (2-1) this Saturday down on the plains.

No.2 (5) LSU Tigers (4-0, 1-0)

The then No.6 LSU Tigers were in action this past Saturday against Louisiana Tech (2-1). The Tigers were coming off a huge SEC win over Auburn and picked up the 38-21 over Tech. This Ed Orgeron team is very good on both sides of the ball. The Tigers have a ball hawking defense with a very efficient offense. The Tigers defense is allowing just 91 yards on the ground and less than 250 yards thru the air. This Saturday the LSU Tigers will be hosting the Ole MIss Rebels (3-1, 0-1) in Death Valley Saturday night.

No.1 (1) Alabama Crimson Tide (4-0, 2-0)

The No.1 Alabama Crimson Tide hosted the then No.23 ranked Texas A&M Aggies in T-town. Alabama is that team which we hoped wasn’t for real this season but they are and picked up the big 45-23 win over A&M. Of course, we realize Nick Saban has a very good Bama defense. But this could be the very best offense which Saban has EVER coached. This team leaves us with the same question we have for the SEC East with Georgia, who can beat Bama? We can assume it won’t be Louisiana (1-2) this week.
