After the SEC road win Saturday night Ole Miss football fans were busy Sunday watching their favorite NFL Rebels in action.

Saturday night while Ole Miss football fans were watching the Rebels get a big road win over Arkansas there were NFL Rebels who were preparing for Sunday action. OHT has been following our NFL Rebels this season and we’ve seen some notable performances on both sides of the ball so far this season.

Of course, there are 25 NFL Rebels on active rosters so we expected to see some of them in action Sunday and we did with a number of them putting up good numbers. While most of the OHT news and updates have centered around the offensive side of the ball it was the defensive NFL Rebels who had some of the biggest games. However, lets start on the offensive side of ball.

Offensive NFL Rebels

The offensive NFL Rebels had a rough go of it Sunday with a number of them failing to put up any stats. However, there were two who did. Former Rebels QB Eli Manning went 24 of 43 for 281 yards and 1 INT in the Giants 31-13 loss to the Eagles.

Former Rebels tight-end Evan Engram is still out with a sprained MCL on his right knee and his return date is still undetermined. We wish Evan a very speedy recovery and are ready to see him back in action soon.

Former Ole Miss wide receiver Laquon Treadwell was busy with 4 receptions for 38 yards in the Vikings 27-17 win over the Cardinals. Eli Manning and Laquon Treadwell were the only NFL Rebels on the offensive side of the ball to tally stats.

Defensive NFL Rebels

There was a true role reversal for the defensive NFL Rebels with some having huge games. Former Rebels safety Kendrick Lewis had 6 tackles in the Titans 21-0 loss to the Ravens. Former Rebels defensive tackle Fadol Brown had 5 tackles in the Raiders 27-3 loss to the Seahawks. Former Rebels corner-back Mike Hilton was busy with 5 tackles and 1 stuff in the Steelers 28-21 win over the Bengals.

Former Ole Miss defensive end/defensive tackle Robert Nkemdiche had 5 tackles in the Cardinals 27-17 loss to the Vikings. Former Rebels defensive tackle Breeland Speaks had a big game for the Chiefs in their 43-40 loss to the Patriots. Speaks who now plays line-backer for the Chiefs had 6 tackles, 1 sack and 1 forced fumble.
