Ole Miss basketball was back in action Friday night in Indianapolis as they faced Butler in the Rebels first road game of the 2018-19 season.

Ole Miss basketball (1-1) was back in action in the Rebels first true road game of the coach Kermit Davis era. The Rebels travelled to Indianapolis Friday night to face the Butler Bulldogs (3-0). The Rebels entered the game coming off a huge 90-64 season opening win over Western Michigan.

Butler was coming off their second consecutive win this season with wins over Miami-Ohio and Detroit Mercer. Out of the Big East Conference Butler has established itself as a perennial basketball powerhouse and have found a large degree of success in recent years. This would be a tough matchup for coach Kermit Davis and the Rebels.

Despite an outstanding performance by senior Terence Davis and a back and forth game the Rebels trailed at the half 41-36. The second half was much of the same for the Rebels and Bulldogs as the game was tight. Butler was too much on the road and the Rebels fell in a 83-76 decision. Lets take a look at the numbers.
