Ole Miss Football: AD Ross Bjork And The Upcoming Town Meetings
Recently AD Ross Bjork announced his series of ‘town meetings’ to be held and we can imagine Ole Miss football will be a main topic.
While some Ole Miss football fans have been quite critical of AD Ross Bjork it is obvious Bjork has done an outstanding job when it comes to the Ole Miss basketball hires and also in facilitating the recent Ole Miss football hires with Matt Luke. While the jury is still out on just how good the recent football hires will be there is an obvious improvement in both men’s and women’s hoops.
One thing we know for sure with Ross Bjork is there is never a dull moment between his ‘wrestling belt’ and what he might do next. Bjork appears to be all Ole Miss now and his actions have shown he is in for the long haul. I think back to the Bjork, Vitter and Freeze ‘hostage video’ and Bjork is certainly the last of three still standing and now he is having ‘town meetings’.
Town Meetings
Ole Miss Rebels
There have been seven ‘town meetings’ scheduled throughout the region. Each will be accessible for all Ole Miss fans and we can only imagine some of the topics which may come up. We can be sure there will questions about a variety of issues from recent hires to stadium and concession improvements and probably mascots.
While we can’t be sure of the questions and issues AD Ross Bjork may face at each event we can be sure of what we know. What we know is the ‘town meetings’ are being held because AD Ross Bjork really does want Rebel Nation’s feedback and has clearly made that avenue available for Ole Miss fans.
“We have prided ourselves on being a department that is accessible to all fans – constantly looking for new ways to gather feedback and fan thoughts,” said Bjork in November when the ‘town meetings’ were first announced. While some Rebels don’t like Bjork there are those of us who can see what a great job Bjork has done and this is simply proof to most of us he really cares about Ole Miss.
