While OHT struggles to maintain coverage for Ole Miss softball sometimes we have to make time to point out what a great season the Rebels are having.

With limited resources and contributors it is difficult to try to cover everything Ole Miss but OHT believes it is necessary to cover as much as possible. Coach Mike Smith and No.24 Ole Miss softball are having a huge season and Rebels fans need to be aware of just how good the Rebels are doing.

Right now coach Mike Smith and No.24 Ole Miss softball (21-7, 2-1) are on a seven game win streak in which they have picked up four wins over ranked opponents. The Rebels picked up two of three games against No.14 Arkansas and swept two games against No.18 Oklahoma State this past weekend.

Amazing Home Stretch

The No.24 Rebels just wrapped up a 13-game home stand which saw Ole Miss softball win a whopping 12 of their 13 contests. Included in the Rebels 12 home wins was the sweep of the Ole Miss Classic where the Rebels took 2 games apiece from Nicholls and Pittsburgh. In the Rebels 13 home games they also picked up wins over Austin Peay, Memphis and two games over Samford.

The Rebels have been on fire at the plate and in the circle and appear to have worked out the kinks which put them in the loss column before returning to Oxford off a long road stretch. So far in the 2019 season the Rebels are 2-3 in away games and 7-3 on neutral fields. The Rebels now have a 12-1 home record which is simply amazing considering the competition.

Coach Mike Smith and No.24 Ole Miss softball will be looking to stay in the win column this weekend as they travel the SEC road to take on South Carolina in a three-game series. First pitch from Columbia is set for 1pm CT Saturday and the game can be seen via SECN+. The Rebels will also have games Sunday and Monday. Good luck to coach Smith and the Rebels. Hotty Toddy!
