Coach Mike Smith and No.24 Ole Miss softball were back in action Sunday as they were attempting to even the series against South Carolina.

After a 2-0 game-one loss Saturday No.24 Ole Miss softball (22-8, 3-2) was back in action Sunday and were looking to get the win to even the SEC road series against No.16 South Carolina (23-8, 2-6). The Rebels played determined and evened the series with their own 2-0 extra innings shutout win over the Gamecocks.

Sundays game was a good one with 7 scoreless innings with the game headed into extra softball. The Rebels scored 2 runs in the eighth to take the 2-0 lead and behind shutdown pitching from Molly Jacobsen the Rebels held on to get the 2-0 shutout and even the series. Of course, OHT looks at the Rebels win by the numbers.
