No.11 Ole Miss baseball was in action this weekend and a large part of their series win success resulted from catcher Cooper Johnson.

Ole Miss baseball has been having an up and down season but have found success in recent weekends. The Rebels have won 5 of their last 6 SEC games with a three-game sweep of No.6 Texas A&M and a series win over No.9 LSU. The Rebels have been rolling as of late and it has been because of outstanding play from a number of players.

Monday the SEC announced its Player of the Week and Cooper Johnson got the tab. Over the weekend series at the plate against LSU, Johnson hit at a .545 clip going 6 of 11 with 5 RBI thru three games. Behind the plate Johnson allowed just 1 stolen base from the Tigers. Johnson went 4 for 5 with 4 RBI in Sundays wild series win. OHT takes a closer look at Cooper Johnson.
