Week 11 of the 2023 college football season and it’s a big Saturday for Ole Miss. Lane Kiffin’s team are under the lights in Athens, taking on reigning college football champions, the Georgia Bulldogs. One of the biggest games in recent times for the Rebels.

It’s a top 10 match-up this Saturday, with the number 9 ranked Ole Miss Rebels taking on the number 2 ranked Georgia Bulldogs in Athens.

With a victory in week 11, both teams can shake up the pack in the CFP Rankings. With Georgia, a win gives them their first win over a top ten opponent this season. For the Rebels, a win could help towards gatecrashing the playoffs at the end of the season.

Games like these are why people love college football, with neutral fans tuning in on Saturday evening to watch the excitement unfold.

Georgia have stuttered their way through the season. However, champions always find a way to get the win and thats exactly what they have been doing this season. They have looked excellent in a handful of games, with others being average for their standards.

The Bulldogs will be likely be without star tight end Brock Bowers again this weekend. However, QB Carson Beck has one of the best receivers in college football, Ladd McConkey. Despite missing the first four games, McConkey has 337 receiving yards from 22 catches. The Ole Miss defense will need to keep tabs on him.

The Georgia defense made most of the headlines during their back-to-back college football championships. The 2023 bunch is good, but they can be got at. Missouri showed that last week, having 363 offensive yards and pushing the Bulldogs till the end.

The last time these two sides met was back in 2016, with Ole Miss coming out on top 45-13.  Before that win, it was very lopsided, with Georgia winning the previous 10.

Bulldogs HC Kirby Smart said he expects a “hell of a challenge” in the week 11 game against the Rebels. Can Ole Miss do the unthinkable and snatch a famous victory in Athens?
