December is not just the month of bowl games in college football. Preparations have already begun for 2024, with coaches looking on as players enter the transfer portal and recruiting continues. One Alabama recruit from the 2024 class could be a potential flip candidate for the Rebels. Will tight end Caleb Odom be a Rebel in 2024?

Ole Miss are looking to finish their 2023 season with a bowl win in December, given head coach Lane Kiffin the best record in his four seasons in Oxford.

Whatever the result, preparation is underway for the Rebels in 2024, with Kiffin looking to strengthen his roster for the new look SEC conference next season.

Lane Kiffin has become known as one of the best head coaches in utilizing the transfer portal. However, that hasn’t held back his recruiting ability.

As it stands, Ole Miss are ranked 20th in the nation for 2024 recruits by 247sports. The Rebels have eight four-star commits and a bunch of 3-star commits.

A 4-star commit that Kiffin is vying to land is tight end Caleb Odom. The Georgia native is currently an Alabama commit, making his decision back in July of this year. However, that has not slowed down Kiffin in trying to get Caleb Odom to flip his decision.

The fourth-ranked tight end in the 2024 class and 64th-ranked overall player, per 247sports, Odom is feeling the love from Kiffin and Ole Miss. Having spent consecutive weekends in Oxford when the Rebels played Vanderbilt and Texas A&M, Kiffin repaid the favour a few days back.

Kiffin was seen on the sidelines in Middle Georgia, watching Caleb Odom compete in Georgia State playoffs.

What keeps Ole Miss of interest to Caleb Odom is the offer to play receive, something the 2024 recruit has a high interest in doing. Other teams that have recruited him, including Alabama, see him as a tight end.

Alabama still remains in the driving seat. However, if any team is going to get Caleb Odom to flip his commitment, it seems it would be Ole Miss.
