It’s the end of the college football regular season, which means individual and team awards are starting to be announced. Earlier today the ALL-SEC Coaches First Teams along with the second team were announced, with two Rebels making the list.

It only seems like yesterday that the 2023 college football season kicked off, but somehow we have got to December. The college football playoffs and bowl games are about to begin in a few weeks. First, we will have ALL-Conference teams announced, followed by individual college football awards.

The first of the All-SEC teams were announced, with the ALL-SEC Coaches First Team, as well as the second team up first. Two Ole Miss players were recognised by their fellow conference coaches.

Rebels running back Quinshon Judkins made the ALL-SEC Coaches First Team. alongside Missouri running back Cody Schrader. It’s the second time Judkins has made the team in his two seasons, making the list in his true freshman season in 2022.

Judkins wasn’t as productive as last season but did manage to break 1,000 rushing yards for the second time. The sophomore running back was only one touchdown of last season’s 17, taking his tally to 33 in two seasons.

The other Rebel player to get a mention was tight end Caden Prieskorn, who made the ALL-SEC Coaches second team. Prieskorn had the same amount of votes as Auburn tight end Rivaldo Fairweather and Trey Knox of South Carolina.

This season was Prieskorn’s first season in the SEC and his first in a power five conference, after transferring in from Memphis. The big tight end missed the first three games of the season through injury, but still managed 20 receptions for 313 yards and two touchdowns.

Georgia led the way with representatives, with 11 players making the teams. Alabama were a close second with ten. Vanderbilt were the only team not to have a player voted on to either team.

The SEC individual award winners will be released Wednesday and the All-Freshman Team will be announced Thursday.
