Something is happening down at Ole Miss. It appears the current players also feel it, with two more Rebels players set to return for the 2024 season.

After another good regular season, going 10-2 for the second time under Lane Kiffin, optimism is high around the team. If the Rebels can take care of Penn State in the Peach Bowl, it will be Kiffin’s best season yet.

Those good feelings are continuing via recruiting and the transfer portal. Kiffin has already grabbed three highly talented players from the transfer portal. The Rebels head coach is eyeing up a couple more high-impact players.

There is a buzz around the team, which is being felt by the current roster. A few days back, wide receiver Jordan Watkins confirmed he is returning to the team for the 2024 season. Yesterday tight end Caden Prieskorn followed suit, staying with the Rebelsfor his final season.

Today, two more Ole Miss players confirmed they would be returning for the 2024 season.

Leading wide receiver for the team this season, Tre Harris was the first to announce a return in 2024. Harris had 851 receiving yards and eight touchdowns in ten games this season.

It’s great news for the receiver room, which has already acquired the top JUCO transfer, Deion Smith. The additions might not have finished in that department, with talk of Antwane “Juice” Wells as a possible commit to Ole Miss.

The second player to announce a return in 2024 was starting right tackle Micah Pettus. The redshirt sophomore offensive lineman has been consistent for the Rebels since the 2022 season. The majority of his snaps have been at right tackle. However, he did take some emergency snaps at the centre position in 2022.

It’s a welcome return for Ole Miss, with experienced linemen always important with injuries a regular occurrence in the trenches.

Ole Miss are preparing for a special 2024 season, with the current players looking to be a part of it.
