Ole Miss football fended off Vanderbilt and Kentucky in another recruiting battle as 4-star EDGE Keysan Taylor announced his commitment on April 18.

Four-star EDGE Keysan Taylor commits to Ole Miss

The Rockford, Illinois DE was down to 3 schools, and Ole Miss was already a heavy-favorite to land him when Taylor put pen to paper. Ranked as a four-star prospect in the 247 composite, Taylor ranks as the No. 28 edge rusher in the class and the No. 329 overall player.

Ole Miss scored a big one on Taylor; the Guilford High prospect has speed from his basketball and track experience. More importantly, Taylor proved he could convert that speed into power, racking up 57 tackles, four forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries, one interception, and six pass breakups in his junior year.

Taylor joins Ben'Jarvius Shumaker, the No. 5 defensive lineman in the country, and Jamarkus Pittman, another highly-touted four star recruit, in Ole Miss's 2027 DL commits.

Besides him, Golding has already scored big on QB Keegan Croucher's commitment. Four-star Jiyez Fleming, three-star IOL Ford Wade, and JUCO OT Roman Wommack are making up for an equally distinct offense in their class of 2027.

The cherry on top of Taylor's commitment is Ole Miss is expecting more soon. Several elite prospects have Ole Miss among their finalist schools, and have put them on clock to announce their commitment.

4-star RB Myson Johnson-Cook's announcement is scheduled for April 25, and the nation's No. 2 running back, David Gabriel-Georges, is also on the block. The Rebels might be deep into the offseason, but Golding or Frank Wilson might hardly have any time to rest as they need to make all the phone calls they can to lure all these elite talents to the Sip.
