One more regular season weekend of college football is edging closer, but before that, the College Football Selection Committee must sort out the mess from Week 13. We know the teams that will slip out of the top 12, but how far will they fall?

Ole Miss and Alabama suffered road losses, meaning they will tumble out, but will they be able to capitalize if further carnage unfolds? SMU and Tennessee look like the teams that may jump in tonight. However, the question is how different the selection committee's top 25 will look compared to the AP Poll.

After tonight, there are two more rankings, the final one deciding who will make the first 12-team College Football Playoffs.

College Football Playoff rankings release schedule:

Ole Miss College Football Playoff Rankings outlook

Ole Miss looked to have blown its chances after losing to Florida in the early kickoff. However, further chaos erupted, meaning a potential small window had opened, depending on their ranking.

The Rebels would need to win comfortably in the Egg Bowl on Friday, and then, hopefully, at least three teams above them fail to win their final regular-season games. Given the season we have witnessed so far, it's a slim chance, but it may be possible.

Alabama, Tennessee, Miami, and SMU all have games that could be more challenging than expected. We will see, but if Ole Miss is ranked 15 or higher, it has an outside chance.
