Cotie McMahon's postseason just got a lot more prestigious with all the All-American honors she is lining up.
The No. 5 Rebels' star is starting out to be an early favorite in the NCAA Tourney as four of the topmost lists have awarded McMahon their All-American team honors.
Associated Press names Cotie McMahon to All-American honors
On Wednesday, the Associated Press was the latest one to give her a nod, landing on the honorable mention team.
Apart from the Associated Press, USA Today (honorable mention), The Sporting News (second team), and USBWA (honorable mention), are the other lists where McMahon made the cut. This makes 2026 her third consecutive year for the All-American honors.
With that, the next list that McMahon will await to see her name on would be the WBCA NCAA Division I Coaches' All-America Team, that generally releases around the Final Four week.
Leading the team-high in points (19.9) and assists (3.0), these are just the All-American honors for McMahon; the list of her other accolades is an embarrassment of riches.
Not only is she on the National ballot for the Wooden award, but she was also named SEC Newcomer of the Year and to the All-SEC first team.
Besides, McMahon has also staked her claim in the Cheryl Miller Small Forward of the Year Top 10 Watch List and the Jersey Mike's Naismith Trophy Women's College Player of the Year Late-Season Team.
Averaging 21.0 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 3.6 assists in conference games, McMahon has fairly established herself as one of the elites in the conference, one that Ole Miss's opponents would be on the lookout for in the postseason chaos.
The Rebels take on Gonzaga in the first round of the NCAA Tournament, and McMahon would be one of the main threats to the Bulldogs' team.
