Ole Miss may be on a bye in Week 12, but analysts are still mentioning them in their gameday segments. Two ESPN College GameDay analysts believe that Ole Miss is the most dangerous team in the SEC.

Desmond Howard and, when pushed, Nick Saban both mentioned Ole Miss and also special guest Tim Tebow shouted out the Rebels.

Ole Miss peaking at the right time for a playoff run

Desmond Howard was the first to shout out Ole Miss, and with a little bit of a push, Nick Saban got off the fence to go with the Rebels over his beloved Alabama,

Tim Tebow was also bullish on the Rebs, while Kirk Herbstreit and Pat McAfee went with Alabama. Nobody picked Texas, Tennessee, or Georgia, with the Volunteers and Bulldogs seen as the front two in pre-season.

After losing two games in their first seven games, against Kentucky and LSU, the Rebels have had their backs against the wall. Five games left, they needed to win all five, with three down already, one a win over No.3 ranked at the time Georgia.

Ole Miss has looked like it is hitting its stride in the three previous games, with the Week 11 win over the Bulldogs being a peak performance. All this was done without star wide receiver Tre Harris, who Desmond Howard called their best player.

If Lane Kiffin's team can continue to play at its best against Florida and Mississippi State in the final two games, it will make the playoffs. Once the Rebels are there, nobody will want to play it.
