If things go as planned, the most dangerous QB-RB duo in the SEC isn't going anywhere in 2026.

Ole Miss's head coach, Pete Golding, couldn't have asked for a better start to the semifinal Fiesta Bowl week.

Sunday brought the much-awaited announcement of QB Trinidad Chambliss staying with Ole Miss through 2026, if the NCAA approves his sixth-year waiver.

Kewan Lacy isn't going anywhere in 2026

The 2026 roster wins didn't stop there, though. Monday brought another equally thrilling retaining announcement from the top player everyone in the Sip was waiting on: Kewan Lacy.

Late Monday night, ESPN’s Max Olson reported the massive update of star RB Kewan Lacy formally committed to returning for the 2026 season.

“Ole Miss RB Kewan Lacy has signed to return for the Rebels in 2026, sources tell me and PeteThamel. The first-team All-SEC back ranks third nationally with 1,464 rushing yards.” Olson posted on X.

There is one more thing that makes Lacy's announcement quite interesting.

It was just a few days ago that Ole Miss's RB coach, Kevin Smith, had signed with Lane Kiffin at LSU for 2026. Smith's switch had rumors of Lacy also transferring to LSU, running wild.

Now, the only thing that Golding would be waiting for is the approval of Chambliss' waiver.

Besides that, Golding's 2026 roster is already looking promising, with several other key players returning, and also new transfer portal additions making their way to Oxford.

All of it screams "No Kiffin, no problem" in the most calmest way possible before taking on Miami this Thursday.
