There goes another Ole Miss player to LSU.
Lane Kiffin has had the most success lately at poaching people from Ole Miss. After stealing away almost the entire staff, Kiffin reportedly pulled out a dirty trick of releasing the term sheets to Ole Miss players.
As a reault he initially landed SEC's sack-leader TJ Dottery, officially snatching the cornerstone of the Rebels' defense.
Now, he's done it again with another star player, Edge Princewill Umanmielen.
While Ole Miss tried holding him to the deal he signed for 2026, it couldn't make the leverage stick.
The edge finally entered the transfer portal on Tuesday morning, and is all set to sign with LSU, per CBS Sports' Matt Zenitz.

The 6’5, 245-pound Ole Miss transfer is the No. 5 overall transfer in the portal after tallying 9.0 sacks + 45 tackles in 2025.

Princewill Umanmielen came with a six-figure price tag
However, since the edge already had a deal with the Rebels, he came attached to a heavy price tag for his next team.
Kiffin hardly blinked before approving the massive six-figure payout.
According to 247 Sports' Chase Parham, LSU will owe Ole Miss $550,000 in buyout compensation.
And that is just the price Kiffin has to pay just to get Umanmielen in the Tigers uniform; the rest of his deal at LSU will still stand.
After all, the edge is ranked as the fifth-best overall player to enter the portal this cycle after posting nine sacks this season and also being an All-SEC selection.
With Umanmielen to LSU done, Kiffin's next and most obvious target would be WR Cayden Lee.
That should come easier than Umanmielen because Kiffin already has former Ole Miss WR coach Georgie McDonald on his LSU staff, who coached Lee for the entireity of the 2025 regular season.
It's why Lee's announcement will be the next big one the Tigers fans will be waiting for.
