Saturday's 24-21 win is not something the Ole Miss Rebels are proud of. Coach Lane Kiffin's answers in his post-game press conference were reeking of disappointment.

Kiffin made no attempts to hide his frustration as the Rebels reeled in an underwhelming win.

"Just really disappointed. Hope they don’t feel good about it," the Rebels head coach said on Saturday.

"You know, we didn’t sing a song or any of that stuff. So I just wanted to make sure they understand this is not the standard that we play with here. You know, a lot of guys from different places maybe not used to what our standard is."

"And, that’s not what we’re supposed to do. We get paid a lot. They get paid a lot. And a lot of people come to our games. And that ain’t the product we’re supposed to put out."

As Kiffin puts it, them winning the 24-21 dogfight against Washington State was the only good thing about the night.

"You could have had this game go the wrong way at the end and really feel bad, so you know, that’s not lost. But, outside of that, just really not pleased how we performed today. So, not to our standard. So I hope nobody’s pleased with that."

Until now, Ole Miss's defense was supposedly its only weak link, but the Rebels' offensive struggles in three quarters showed that Kiffin still has some work to do before reaching the college football playoffs.

QB Trinidad Chambliss has definitely seen much better days, but he still managed to throw two touchdowns and run for another. Were it not for those, the Cougars would have pulled one of the biggest SEC upsets this season.

Next weeks marks the toughest stretch for the Rebels this season as they take on Georgia, Oklahoma and South Carolina.

Kiffin's squad will have to be a lot better than today to even have a chance to win against Kirby Smart's squad in Athens next Saturday,
