It will be no surprise if Oxford declares a holiday on Sept. 19, as it will be the day the hottest notorious antagonist steps foot in the Grove once again.
A Kiffin-led LSU Tigers will be heading to the Sip as Ole Miss's SEC schedule opener, and after the way Kiffin burned the bridges with the Rebels after his ugly exit, the game will be nothing short of cinematic.
An enraged crowd will do everything to take out the pent-up rage on Kiffin as he tries to win one against his former team in their season-opener.
While that day is still about eight months away, the anticipation is already bubbling in not just the Ole Miss fans but the whole of college football.
Fans have flooded social media showing the thrill for the game that is supposed to happen next season.

And they already know the type of welcome Kiffin would be getting in Oxford.

College GameDay undeniably coming to Oxford for the Magnolia Bowl was a safe guess for the fans to make.

Not just the fans, top analysts are also looking forward to what will be the most buzzing game of the year. After all, they rarely get to see a former head coach returning to his home field just a year after he had the messiest exit of the season to play against his former team.
Yahoo Sports' Ross Dellenger and ESPN's Peter Burns both echoed the same excitement with sharing eyes emoji to the Magnolia Bowl.

While it would be classically called the Magnolia Bowl, the fans would once again love to call it the 'Lane Kiffin Bowl', a title that was given to Ole Miss vs. Florida in the 2025 regular season.
