There's a reason Lane Kiffin is called the troll king ... and the ultimate villain in Oxford. Pete Golding's indirect digs at Kiffin hardly got under his skin, as the LSU head coach continues to rattle the cage of an already angry Ole Miss fanbase without missing a beat.
His latest one was through a simple red and blue heart emoji. clearly replicating the red and blue Ole Miss scheme.
But that's everyday, quintessential Kiffin for you. What seperated this tweet from his others was the timeline.
It was just a few days ago, on April 14, that Golding was asked about Kiffin's tweets about him. Golding brushed it off in a classic Golding-like "couldn't care less" response.
Social media tweets don't bother Pete Golding
"I'm not good enough at this job to be on (social media) all damn day and do this job," Golding said. "I don't know how (other coaches) do it. More power to them. I'll learn one day. There's enough things in the building that I need to do and do at a high level."
"Obviously, I've got kids, and we've got people who work here that do all that," he added. "Things get brought up, or someone will send me a text message. So you definitely see certain things."
To nobody's surprise, the question came after Kiffin had attacked Golding in a series of tone-deaf tweets throughout the past week.
The most viral ones were comparing Golding to Hugh Freeze for golfing, and patting a virtual "well done" on the Ole Miss HC's back for his answer on handling the program in the post-Kiffin era.
Looking at how instantly he was back to missing Ole Miss on social media, Kiffin might have just found his new online head coach target to troll. All there's left to see is how long will his obsession last.
