Just when we thought the rumors of Lane Kiffin leaving Oxford to find a better job had dialed down, in came another storm, sending him to the Happy Valley.
Sending shockwaves across the college football world on Sunday, Penn State announced its decision to fire James Franklin after the program dropped their third straight game on Saturday.
It didn't take long for the fans to start finding their next head coach. And as usual, Lane Kiffin turned out to be one of the top choices of a fan base in desperate need of some wins.

Somehow, despite returning 1000-plys yard rushers from the previous season, Franklin's offense was in a dire condition this season, averaging 369.8 yards per game in total offense.
Back here in the Grove, Kiffin's offense has been making headlines this season with just four returning starters to the team from the previous season. Kiffin's offense looked formidable in all games this season except against Washington State.
That's probably why the Penn State fans can't stop daydreaming about how mighty of an offense Kiffin could shape up with the Nittany Lions' roster.

This point would be the right time to give Florida fans an honrable mention, since they have been wishing and praying for Kiffin as their head coach for far longer than Penn State fans.
In a hypothetical situation of Kiffin getting hired at Penn State, the Gators fans' reactions would be the most priceless ones out of all others.

Lane Kiffin 'might could' consider a job switch
When the rumors of Kiffin going to Gainesville peaked in Ole Miss' bye week, the Rebels coach had just the right response to shut down the rumors and still keep everyone guessing.
"He might could," said Kiffin on Pardon My Take podcast.
"On something like that, we have a guy, Tom Luke, who's been here forever. You know, ask him a question and he goes 'We might could'. I'm like, what is he saying? It's either yes or no. That's so stupid. But then after a while, I'm like that's brilliant. You're really not saying anything that you could hold accountable," Kiffin said, adding an explanation for the almost bizarre response.
With all that said, considering Kiffin for another role when he has finally built the roster that could win him the national championship this season or in the following one at Ole Miss for another team -- whichever team it might be -- sounds like an imaginative scenario.
