By now, it is a classic Lane Kiffin moment that the Ole Miss fans will reference 50 years down the road — how the Ole Miss Rebels coach crashed the celebration of a newly engaged couple.

On Saturday when Ole Miss was taking on Citadel in what turned out to be a 49-0 shutout game, the fans witnessed a rare moment at the Vaught-Hemingway, that Kiffin, of course, made even rarer.

During the media timeout in the third quarter, former Ole Miss pole vaulter Drew O'Connor came onto the field in the disguise of a promotional field goal event kick with something special planned.

O'Connor went down on his knee to confess his love with a ring to his girlfriend, Madison Barnette, standing in front of him. When she said yes, the crowd erupted with cheers and wholehearted applaud.

Kiffin was already moving towards his team huddle during the timeout, when he let his impulsive thoughts get the best of him.

Kiffin decided to photobomb the couple in their 'newly engaged' picture, and crashed their celebration. That's when the crowd went wild.

"I didn't know I'd be a part of that, but you know, things happen here in the 'Sip," Kiffin said when asked about the romantic-turned-hilarious moment.

"That was cool. I didn’t know what was going on at all. Someone on the headset said it. That was really cool and how the crowd cheered for them," he further added.

Kiffin trolled their future rivals in Miss State while simultaneously poking fun at Kirby Smart, gatecrashed a successful proposal's celebratory photos, defeated Citadel in a total shutout 49-0 win all during the same three hours in the Grove — Kiffin makes sure there is never a dull gameday in Oxford.
