No matter how mercilessly Chambliss busted LSU's secondary this regular season, LSU legend Tyrann Mathieu continues cheering on for the Ole Miss QB.

The Super Bowl champion has sided with Chambliss from the very day the court granted him an injunction.

This time, the Chiefs star sent a powerful message to cheer Chambliss up as he prepares to put on his cleats for another collegiate year, and most likely eviserarate LSU the way he did last year.

"I'll tell you straight up dog, the sh*t that you did to my Tigers this past year, I was not too fond buddy. But you know, I'm old enough, and I got enough respect for this game where I appreciate you, brother. I’m hoping the best for you, I’m wishing the best for you," Mathieu said on his In The Bayou podcast.

Tyrann Mathieu's uplifting message to Trinidad Chambliss

While Mathieu might not be on the same page about Chambliss taking Tigers' defense to the woodshed yet again, he did agree on one thing: the QB curshing it in the NFL despite his mesurables falling just short of the industry standards.

At 6'1" and 200 pounds, NFL scouts have their concerns about Chambliss not surviving hits by the brick wall of the NFL offensive linemen who are generally around 6'5".

Mathieu advises Chambliss not to let the numbers get to his head, as the 'undersized' ones before him — the same ones that are considered his NFL comps today, have blazed a trail in the NFL.

"I hope you're able to come to the NFL. Russell Wilson, Drew Brees, Kyler Murray, Tua, they got a lot of dudes who weren't 6, but they found a way. And I hope you know that you have the skill set and the talent to take it all the way.”

" You may not feel like it right now, but in the years to come, you're going to have a lot of respect for what you did."

It is not the first time Mathieu lauded the QB's fight, and looking at Chambliss' success arc, it most definitely won't be the last.
