Pete Golding is about to outmuscle the enitre SEC in landing the #1 prospect from Mississippi.

Ever since his April 6 visit to the Manning center, 5-star IOL Caden Moss is trending directly towards the Sip.

Ole Miss heavy-favorite to land Caden Moss

The Rebels have opened up with a gargantuan lead in the Moss sweepstakes. The On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine currently gives Ole Miss a staggering 88.6% inside track to land Moss, essentially making the Jacksonville OL a lock rather than a recruit.

Interestingly, the Rebels have this lead over top recruiting sharks like LSU, Ohio State, Kentucky, and Oregon, but the Rebels still hold the clear upper hand. Part of it might have to do with in-state advantage.

Golding's recent hires have recruiting connections like no other. Frank Wilson has some of the best connections in the market, and Terrence Metcalf and Cody Woodiel have the best in-state recruiting influence there can be in the Sip.

Moss emphasized his connection with the staff being a primary reason Ole Miss made it to Moss's top favorite.

“Ole Miss was my first Power 4 offer. I’ve always been tight with that staff throughout my whole process and I have a great relationship with Coach (Pete) Golding,” Moss told Rivals.

"I have a relationship with a lot of the guys at Ole Miss. I’m ready to keep this train moving and keep building this relationship," he added.

The announcement could come sooner than expected, as Golding has already convinced Moss to make an official visit on June 19.

That said, in the SEC, a lead is only as good as the next phone call.

Ole Miss must continue to outmuscle the field, or they risk a rival program jumping the shark and luring the nation's No. 3 premier interior lineman away.
