The Ole Miss baseball program had a resurgence in the 2025 season. The team retained some major talent from last year's roster including Hunter Elliott, Judd Utermark, Will Furniss, and Austin Fawley. Mike Bianco and his staff also attacked the portal, adding some top talent.
The team is back on campus, doing some team bonding exercises like the annual Labor Day Olympics at Bianco's house.

While the team is having fun as summer comes to a close, they are also gearing up for a competitive period of fall ball. The fall is typically a time for a lot of intra squad work and where a lot of the position battles are settled. However, this year, the Rebels announced two fall ball games during October against other schools that will be open to the public.

Both of these games will take place on a Saturday inside Swayze field. Oct. 4 is a bye week for the football team and the Rebels will be in Athens on the 18th.
This provides a great opportunity for both coaches and fans to see where the team stands against other teams. It will also be the first chance for fans to see all the transfers. The highest graded transfer for the Rebels is former Illinois State outfielder Daniel Pacella. Pacella was just named 28th best transfer hitter by D1 Baseball.

Arkansas Little Rock is a member of the Ohio Valley Conference and also a common opponent for the Rebels. The teams typically play a mid-week game every year. This past season, the Trojans managed to knock off Ole Miss 7-3 in Oxford. Little Rock went 27-34 overall last season.
The Tulane Green Wave went 33-25 last season in the American Conference. They also have a history of making runs in their conference tournament, although they came up short this last season.
