Ole Miss fans are convinced about Lane Kiffin not going to Florida

The Ole Miss fanbase is finally stepping up to match the insane lobbying from Florida fans. The unofficial rumors of Billy Napier's replacement at Florida have Lane Kiffin written all over it across social media.

But the Rebels fans decided to stand firm in their belief that Kiffin won't leave them stranded mid-season. After all, he has spent six seasons building the roster of his dream that can get Ole Miss to the national championship.

Six years of building a culture in the Grove and instilling a relentlessly winning mentality in the locker room finally fructified in Ole Miss being a 6-1 team and a serious college football playoff contender 9 weeks into the season.

And all of it is precisely why the Rebels fans have also taken over social media, explaining why Kiffin is not leaving Oxford for Florida.

Florida has always been an NIL and resource giant, which is a big reason behind all the rumors. But Ole Miss fans are arguing whether the heavily-changed current NIL structure leaves much difference between the two programs.

And then there's the announcement from AD Keith Carter of drawing up a revised contract for Kiffin soon.

Another reason why Florida fans are so hot on Kiffin's trail is because they see a modern-day Steve Spurrier in him, with his visor and aggressive playing style.

The online tirade is at a point where despite any official statements or hints (which, when talking about Kiffin, is a big thing), it has turned into a whole debate.

Only an official statement from Kiffin could put an end to it.

But that is not happening soon either. The Ole Miss head coach is rather focused on their upcoming game against Oklahoma.

Only time will tell where the situation heads from here.
