Ole Miss needs wide receivers from the transfer portal, and now they have their first, with Oklahoma State transfer De'Zhaun Stribling committing to the Rebels, reported by Zach Berry at On3.

Stribling was not the expected first wide receiver to commit to Ole Miss after Eric Singleton Jr. and Dane Key took recent visits, but the Cowboys wide receiver was the first through the door. Not to be sniffed at, Stribling is a top 15-ranked wide receiver in the portal.

De’Zhaun Stribling adds experience to the Ole Miss wide receiver room

De'Zhan Stribling comes into the Ole Miss wide receiver room that lacks experience. Cayden Lee is the only receiver returning with double-digit receptions in 2024.

Stribling comes in with one year of eligibility remaining, having played four seasons, his 2023 season being a redshirt. He was on the Washington State team for his first two seasons before transferring to Oklahoma State.

After three games for the Cowboys in 2023, the Hawaii native broke his wrist while practicing during the bye week, ruling him out for the season. He bounced back in 2024, catching 53 passes for 882 receiving yards and six touchdowns. The leading receiver on a 3-9 Oklahoma State team.

In his first two seasons with the Cougars, he had 95 receptions for 1,073 receiving yards and ten touchdowns. Before his injury in 2023, he had 14 receptions for 198 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Stribling has the size and speed and could be a Tre Harris-type player lining up from the outside; Lane Kiffin will hope this is the first of two or three wide receivers through the door this week.
