Ole Miss football lands two offensive lineman transfers in 24 hours
Ole Miss has started their transfer portal haul these past 24 hours, adding two offensive linemen to the already committed edge, Dashawn Womack. Charlotte transfer PJ Wilkins committed yesterday evening, and now the Rebels have landed Arkansas transfer Patrick Kutas.
Ole Miss is set to lose a high percentage of its offensive linemen after this season, including several starters. Kutas and Wilkins add experience to the room, with the Arkansas man the No.1 ranked interior offensive lineman from the portal, per On3.
PJ Wilkins joins his high school teammate in Oxford
Ole Miss landed Charlotte transfer PJ Wilkins yesterday evening, several hours after his former high school teammate Dashawn Womack, who committed from LSU.
Wilkins was a three-star prospect out of St. Frances Academy High School. He committed to the 49ers in the 2023 class. He is the nephew of NBA star Dominique Wilkins and has three years of eligibility remaining.
Ole Miss is looking at several Arkansas players, with a large number of players entering the transfer portal. Offensive lineman Patrick Kutas was a target, and after he visited Oxford, he immediately committed to the Rebels.
Kutas adds huge experience to the Rebels' offensive line. He played over 200 snaps in the SEC for the Razorbacks and has started at right tackle and left guard at Arkansas, so he offers offensive line versatility. Thus, Ole Miss tries to key in when it comes to offensive lineman players from the portal.
He is set to be a day-one starter for the Rebels, hoping to improve the run game, which struggled for Ole Miss this past season. Kiffin and offensive line coach John Garrison will want to bring more transfers in the trenches, with another Arkansas transfer, Addison Nichols, a potential target.
