The only bad thing for Ole Miss fans on Saturday was the Rebels lost to Georgia in the 43-35 showdown.

The loss was too tough to simply overlook, mainly because the game broke the Ole Miss Rebels' undefeated 6-0 streak.

But if we overlook the loss for a brief moment, there were plenty of things that Lane Kiffin's squad achieved vs. Georgia to get an appreciative nod at least.

The following are the post-game notes from Ole Miss Athletics that point out the various milestones the Rebels set while playing the Bulldogs.

"Today’s attendance was 93,033, the biggest crowd Ole Miss has seen this season."

Offense

  • Ole Miss’s five consecutive touchdown drives against Georgia are the most consecutive touchdowns the Ole Miss offense has had against an opponent this season.
  • QB  ended 19-of-36 passing for 263 yards and one TD, and on the ground he led Ole Miss with 42 yards and two scores … This was Chambliss’ second multi-rushing TD game of the season.
  • RB  had 31 yards and two scores on 12 attempts … Lacy now has 10 rushing touchdowns this season, making him the 18th rusher in Ole Miss history to have at least 10 in a season.
  • WR  had his best day as a Rebel with 96 yards on three receptions, including a 75-yard TD pass – a career-long for Chambliss.
  • TE  moved into sixth all-time at Ole Miss in career receiving yards among tight ends, currently sitting at 787 … Wright had three catches for 34 yards.

Defense:

  • LB  racked up a season-high 10 tackles and forced a fumble for the first time in his career … Perkins also assisted on a tackle for loss.
  • DT  had one solo sack, his third of the season that gives him 5.5 for his career.
  • S  had an Ole Miss career-high eight tackles, pushing him beyond the 200-mark for his career.

Special Teams

  • P  booted a career-long 64-yarder late in the fourth quarter, his first beyond the 60-yard threshold … Bird punted twice for 106 yards, but Ole Miss did not punt at all until 12:37 left in the game.
  • K  sent all six of his kickoffs into the endzone for touchbacks

All the numbers are enough to prove that the Ole Miss squad gave the game their best shot during most quarters.

Had they pushed themselves just a bit in the fourth quarter, the game could have resulted in a tie, and possibly, a win.
