The Florida Gators chomped down hard on Ole Miss this Saturday in a 94-75 categorical rout that might have finally snapped the Rebels' postseason hopes.

Coach Chris Beard's record hit a personal low with the 19-point loss at home. It was the Rebels' longest losing streak under him.

Malik Dia got the Rebs off to a quick start with two tough mid-range shots and a 6-3 lead over the Gators. AJ Storr wasted no time in following Dia's mid-rangers with one of his own that got the Rebels back its lead at 12-10, with 15 minutes on the clock.

Florida hit back just as hard, getting up by as much as 14 points in the first half, eventually leading at the midway break 43-32.

Ilias Kamardine got the Rebels within seven, 43-36, after a made floater at the 18:41 mark. However, the Gators' quick 5-0 run got them back up at 12.

Ole Miss's inconsistencies on full display

From then on, Todd Golden's squad maintained their lead until the buzzer ran out, and handed Chris Beard another back-to-back embarassing loss.

Dia led the way offensively for Ole Miss as he finished the game with an assist for 6 rebounds, and 24 points. Kamardine added 14, and Pinkins had 10 for the Rebels.

Beard has pointed out the squad's inconsistencies throughout the season, as was evident once again on the scoreboard when the clock ran out.

Although there is no way they can scrub an 11-16 record, Ole Miss has another chance to atleast plant some hope for the next season at home against LSU this Wednesday.
