We know that Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin is notorious for divulging little to no information on the injury front. Last season, the SEC implemented a new rule which forces schools to publish several injury reports during the week leading up to games. However, this rule only applies to SEC games.

Next week we will get the opportunity to read our first injury report of the season, but this week is not an SEC game, hence no injury report. There have been some rumors throughout this week and the last several that can at least hint on some players' status.

First, it appears that the offensive line is nearly all good to go. There were some injury concerns with RG Patrick Kutas and RT Jayden Williams, however it appears the coaching staff was just being cautious with two important pieces that have both battled durability issues during their careers.

We do know that project starting LG Delano Townsend will not play. He suffered some sort of serious leg injury during a scrimmage two weeks ago. It is still unclear how much time he might miss, but we know that he won't suit up week 1. It is expected that Charlotte transfer PJ Wilkins will start in the LG position on Saturday.

We also know that TE Luke Hasz will not play. It was reported several weeks ago that he suffered a broken bone in his ankle and would miss time. However, while there was worry initially that he could miss a majority of the season, it now appears that his return will be much sooner. There are some that believe he could play as soon as next week in Lexington, KY.

Hybrid WR/TE Caleb Odom is trending towards playing in this game. He missed last Saturday's scrimmage as he was in concussion protocol. It now appears that he has been cleared and will be available to play this Saturday. It also appears that West Virginia transfer Traylon Ray has picked up some injury and will not play this weekend.

Finally, TJ Banks, who was injured in the tragic shooting in Memphis over the offseason, seems to be making a speedy recover. There was worry after his injury that he could miss a majority of the season. However, it now appears that he could be playing in week 1. He has been in the mix of getting significant playing time in the defensive backend. He also started in one of the safety positions in the last scrimmage.
