The tide is finally turning in Trinidad Chambliss favor.

After consecutive heartbreaks in the Fiesta Bowl loss and the NCAA denying his waiver, the Ole Miss QB is finally getting his share of optimistic news.

Industry reports have "growing optimism" around Chambliss getting the injunction on his waiver by the Mississippi court.

"There's optimism around the Ole Miss football program that star quarterback Trinidad Chambliss will eventually be granted an injunction by a court in Mississippi that allows him to play for the 2026 season, multiple sources tell CBS Sports," CBS Sports' Chris Hummer and Matt Zenitz wrote.

"While Chambliss' waiver request for a sixth year of eligibility was denied by the NCA, Rebels' brass is holding out hope that Chambliss' lawsuit against the NCAA will be successful," the report continues.

Trinidad Chambliss trending to win

Ever since Chambliss and his attorney officially filed the lawsuit, there has been growing buzz from the insiders about the QB eventually getting his additional year of eligibility.

The primary basis of NCAA denying was inadequate medical evidence for a medical redhisrt in 2022.

Mars's lawsuit directly contradicts their very basis.

"In Trinidad's case, the NCAA failed in its mission to foster his well-being and development as a student-athlete," the lawsuit reads. "The mechanisms for granting Trinidad an additional year of eligibility – so that he has the opportunity to compete in four years of football -- are available and within the NCAA's control."

In addition to the lawsuit, Chambliss has various testimonies backing him up.

All of these statments make Chambliss's side of the case much more dominant.

A win for Chambliss would mean a bigger win for Ole Miss, as they will get their QB1 for another season.

That is why it will perhpas be the most awaited offseason decision for the Rebels.
