The Ole Miss Rebels got their reward of continuing their winning streak despite the Lane Kiffin circus noise getting the best of them in the final CFP rankings.

Ole Miss stayed put at No. 6 from the penultimate rankings, giving them a first-round bye. The Rebels will take on their regular-season opponents Tulane Green Wave, against whom they scored a landslide 45-10 win, in Oxford as their first-round opponents.

Hunter Yuracheck's clarification on Kiffin's switch not affecting the Rebels' CFP chances made Ole Miss's CFP future safely predictable.

However, the biggest shocker was the committee ranking Miami at No. 10, while Notre Dame was the first team out, after they left Miami out and Notre Dame in the Top 12 in their penultimate rankings.
