Ole Miss clicked into gear on Saturday, thanks to a defensive touchdown from Jared Ivey after a strip sack from linebacker TJ Dottery. That play ignited the offense, with quarterback Jaxson Dart and wide receiver Jordan Watkins going on to break program records.

After what Lane Kiffin described as a not-perfect performance, several Ole Miss players have been named SEC Player of the Week. Four of the nine players were Rebels, thanks to great performances against the Razorbacks.

Four Ole Miss players scoop SEC Player of the Week awards

The two program record-breaking offensive players made the SEC weekly awards, both sharing the Offensive Player of the Week award. TJ Dottery was one of two defensive players awarded Defensive Player of the Week, alongside Georgia's Chaz Chambliss. Princely Umanmielen was the final winner, awarded defensive lineman of the week in the SEC.

Jaxson Dart beat the Ole Miss program record holder for total yards, tallying 562 offensive yards, beating Rebels legend Archie Manning's record from 1969. One school record wasn't enough for wide receiver Jordan Watkins, now holding the record for touchdowns in one game (5) and receiving yards in one game (254).

Linebacker TJ Dottery constantly threatened the Arkansas running game and quarterback. He had the strip sack that resulted in a Jared Ivey touchdown for the first score, a game-setting play. Princely Umanmielen played his second game after missing several with an injury, and Ole Miss has missed him. Umanmielen had two sacks and a fumble recovery in the game.

The Rebels will need similar performances from the same players and others as they welcome No. 2 ranked Georgia to Oxford for a matchup with playoff implications.
