The (expected) shocker is here. The NCAA considered Ole Miss QB Trinidad Chambliss's eligibility case yet again Wednesday under his appeal.
And for the second time, the NCAA denied Chambliss his waiver for an additional year. It was right on cue, though, as their previous decision on his waiver was a dead giveaway.
The consensus across Oxford was that Chambliss is running it back—betting on himself for one final, scorched-earth campaign for the Heisman and the National Title.

Good news is, there is still hope for that to happen.
Next stop: Mississippi Court
Chambliss and his attorneys have already filed for an injunction, which is supposed to be heard in the Chancery Court of Lafayette County in Mississippi on Feb. 12.
If the court decides to grant the QB an injuction, the NCAA will have no choice but to give Chambliss his additional year.
"Indefensible" was all Ole Miss had to say about the news, as the stakes now get higher than ever.
Lack of proper medical documentation was citied as the reason why the NCAA denied Chambliss' waiver in the first place.
Ever since, both Chambliss lawyer and Ole Miss has given ample add-ons to their already documented medical redshirt of the QB at Ferris State in 2022.
Chambliss has a big part to play in Golding's plan for 2026, especially after the damaging mass exodus Ole Miss suffered in the final days of the transfer portal.
More than that, the decision has the NFL teams on the lookout for their next QB stuck in a holding pattern.
The much-anticipated verdict will decide who gets to the next season with perhaps the hottest QB of 2026.
