Recruiting never takes a back seat. However, you can't fault Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin for focusing on the spring transfer portal nearly three months before the new season. Now that the portal is fizzling out, the focus shifts back to future recruiting classes.

Ole Miss will have scheduled an official visit for four-star safety Jaylan Morgan. The Tennessee native has scheduled the OV for the weekend of June 7 in Oxford. His home state is a heavy favorite to land the Rockvale High School product. However, Ole Miss is pushing hard to get a commitment from Morgan.

According to On3s Industry Rankings, Jaylan Morgan is the No. 24 safety and No. 5 player in the state of Tennessee. At 5-foot-12 and 185 pounds, Morgan holds offers from Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama, and others.

It's only early days in recruiting the 2025 class, with Ole Miss having no safety committed. However, they did make three commitments at safety in the 2024 class, led by four-star Travaris Banks.

Ole Miss offer four-star offensive lineman out of Utah

Ole Miss is looking to Utah again after grabbing a commitment from new five-star wide receiver Jerome Myles on April 28.

On May 23, Ole Miss extended an offer to Utah offensive lineman Darius Afalava, a 2025 four-star prospect. The 6-foot-5, 320-pounder is ranked the No.24 interior lineman in the class and the No.3 overall player in Utah.

With Utah native and current Ole Miss quarterback Jaxson Dart helping Ole Miss land Jerome Myles, could he do the same with Darius Afalava?
