Ole Miss recorded an official win over Dak Prescott and rivals Mississippi State in the penultimate game of the 2015 college season before he headed to the NFL. The Rebels did register a win over Prescott in 2013; however, that season, Ole Miss vacated all its wins.

The Ole Miss win against Mississippi State in 2015 came on the heels of a home win over No. 17-ranked LSU at the Vaught-Hemingway Stadium. The Bulldogs went into the game as a ranked team, with the AP Poll having them at No. 21, with Ole Miss ranked No. 18 thanks to their win over the Tigers.

It was the Rebels who flew out the blocks, thanks to a couple of mistakes from Dak Prescott. On the opening drive, Prescott lost a fumble around the 50-yard line, which Ole Miss capitalized on. They added another touchdown before Prescott was picked off by Tony Bridges, who returned the ball for a touchdown to make it 21-zip in the first quarter.

Dak did have two passing touchdowns and a rushing touchdown in the second half, but the damage was done early, with Ole Miss winning the 2015 Egg Bowl, 38-27, on the road.

During his time at Mississippi State, Prescott put up good numbers as a dual-threat quarterback. He completed 734 passes for 9,376 passing yards and 70 touchdowns as a passer. He also did damage as a rusher, finishing his college career with 2,521 rushing yards and 41 rushing touchdowns. Prescott also caught three touchdown passes.

The Dallas Cowboys drafted Dak Prescott in round 4 of the 2016 NFL Draft. Despite being taken on day 3, Prescott is one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL today. He has made three Pro Bowls and was Offensive Rookie of the Year.
