Mississippi has some talent coming out of high school in 2025. Ole Miss has gobbled up most of the defensive talent, with Jarcoby Hopson, Andrew Maddox, and Cortez Thomas committed to the Rebels. The top offensive players have committed to teams outside Mississippi, but Lane Kiffin and his staff are still pushing to change that.

One standout player is five-star wide receiver Caleb Cunningham, who is currently committed to Alabama. Over the last several weeks, he has confirmed he is happy with his decision. On Saturday, Cunningham was on the sidelines for Ole Miss's win over Furman. The Ackerman, MS native gave the Rebels and their fans some optimism, saying to 247Sports, "I'm definitely considering Ole Miss."

It's not just Ole Miss that is still in communication with Cunningham; Mississippi State, Auburn, and LSU are also looking to flip the No.2 wide receiver in the 2025 class. Still, there are a few months left until signing day, so this is not finished.

Caleb Cunningham still has his Ole Miss official visit to take

Ole Miss still has an official visit available for Caleb Cunningham, which could be a potential tipping point in his recruitment. Zach Berry of ON3s OMSpirit spoke to The Inside Scoop regarding the fight for Cunningham.

"“I think it’s Alabama and Ole Miss. LSU is kicking the tires and Auburn is trying. I think you’re going to follow the visits and see it’s Alabama and Ole Miss. Ole Miss is saving the (official visit) for later in the year. I suspect they’ll probably use it for the Georgia game November 9th — which has a chance to be the center of the college football universe.""

Cunningham has visited Oxford twice in the last two months, so that suggests Ole Miss is still on his mind. It's going to take a lot to overhaul Alabama, but Lane Kiffin, wide receivers coach George McDonald, and the rest of the staff are putting in the work.
