Lane Kiffin is adding another talented coach to his Rebels staff in former MTSU quarterback Brent Stockstill.

Off the back of hiring former Ohio State quarterbacks coach Corey Dennis as an offensive analyst, Lane Kiffin has added another talented coach to their staff in Brent Stockstill.

Stockstill will also serve as an offensive analyst, having previously served as the quarterbacks coach and passing game coordinator at his alma mater, Middle Tennessee.

Brent Stockstill has a history with head coach Lane Kiffin and OC Charlie Weis Jr, serving under them at Florida Atlantic in the 2019 season. During their season together, the Owls went 11-3, winning the Conference USA title.

Stockstill played quarterback with the Blue Raiders, spending six seasons with the team. He holds the records for passing yards and passing touchdowns at MTSU. Stockstill will come up against his former team in week two of this season when Ole Miss welcomes MTSU to Oxford.

Despite having just five years of coaching experience outside the Power Five conferences, Stockstill has made the jump to the next level. Having worked with him before in his first season as a coach, Kiffin must have liked how he has progressed in the four years after.
