Jaxson Dart 'influencer' in helping put together the 2024 Ole Miss Football roster
After the 2023 Peach Bowl win over Penn State, Jaxson Dart announced he was heading back to Oxford. He was also a part of helping others commit to a 'Last Dance' with Ole Miss Football.
Last season saw Ole Miss Football quarterback Jaxson Dart have his best college season. Dart helped lead the Rebels to their first 11-win season in program history and his season-best stats.
After seeing how Lane Kiffin and the coaching staff had utilized the transfer portal in December, Dart knew something special was happening with the Ole Miss football team. In Lane Kiffin's March 19 spring practice press conference, he spoke about how Dart had been a big influence in talking to current players about another season.
""I actually don't know that I've seen over time a player actively recruit more to put together a team on both sides of the ball than Jaxson did this off-season". "It says a lot about him as a leader, and I've even said, someday, as a potential head coach if he wants to be"."

In Dart's spring practice presser from the same day, the fourth-year quarterback cheekily answered, "Yes, I feel I'm pretty good at it," when asked if there was an art to recruiting other players and if he was good at it.
Dart also spoke about the product (Ole Miss Football) being on display, especially during the 2023 season.
""It comes down to people wanting to be a part of what we are building here, and when you have that, it's pretty easy to talk to somebody and be like, look, why wouldn't you want to be part of this, why wouldn't you want to go make history".

Despite the roster being the best Kiffin has assembled, you don't win anything on paper. The Rebels will need to execute on the field when the season rolls in.
