2024 Egg Bowl moves from the traditional Thanksgiving Day slot
Ole Miss and Mississippi State will continue their rivalry in 2024. However, it won't be on the traditional day we are accustomed to. The Egg Bowl has been the feature game on Thanksgiving Day for many years, even with the NFL dominating the day.
The 2024 Egg Bowl will now be the feature game on Black Friday at 2:30 pm C.T. live on ABC. With the game now not in direct competition with the NFL primetime Thanksgiving Day game, it will mean more eyes on the bitter rivalry.
The Egg Bowl will be wedged between two other big games on November 29. Oklahoma State and Colorado will get things underway at 11:00 am C.T. After the Egg Bowl, we will see SEC giants Georgia against their rivals Georgia Tech at 7:30 pm C.T. Both games will also be aired on ABC, meaning a day full of top college football action.
